Why would I need the Premium version?

The standard version is enough for most needs. Premium lets you get more out of VitaeMap by creating richer maps with many more events. Some representations and exports are also Premium-only. And as soon as you want your maps to be widely available (public or shared without a code) or to manage event versions (see further in this FAQ), Premium will be much better suited to your needs.

What is a public VitaeMap?

VitaeMaps are private by default: only you can access them. However, you can make them accessible by sharing them. You can share them with a code, in which case everyone who has the code can access them. You can also share them without a code or make them public. When you share without a code, you get a dedicated URL: this VitaeMap is not indexed on the Internet but is available to anyone with that URL. A public VitaeMap is indexed on the Internet and can be found on the site.

Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

Absolutely. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your profile. Premium features remain available until the end of the paid period.

Are there any other fees?

No, the displayed price is the final price. No hidden fees, no surprises. 'PRO' subscriptions exist for teams that need additional professional features.

Can I build VitaeMaps in different languages?

Accepted Answer

Yes, on both the free and paid plans. The paid plan is more comfortable though, as it does not require duplicating the events and the VitaeMap.

What are 'multiple versions' and multilingual management?

Sometimes the same event can be seen from several angles, or you may want to tell it differently to your family than to your friends or to other people. On the free plan, you can always create several events to cover this need. On Premium, you can define different versions of the same event. This is also how you manage events in several languages.

What are dynamic VitaeMaps?

On the free plan, you create VitaeMaps by manually picking the events to include. So whenever you add a new event, you have to remember to attach it to your VitaeMaps. A dynamic VitaeMap is built automatically from either a tag added to your events or from event versions. This considerably simplifies the management of your VitaeMaps.
