## Commitment

VitaeMap is committed to making its website accessible in accordance with **WCAG 2.1 guidelines**, to ensure access to all users, including people with disabilities.

## Compliance Status

The **www.vitaemap.com** website is in **partial compliance** with WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

We are actively working to improve the accessibility of our platform and correct identified non-conformities.

The following content may not be fully accessible:

-   Some interactive maps (Vitaemap visualization)
-   Legacy multimedia content uploaded by users without alternative descriptions
-   Some generated PDF documents

### Reasons and Alternatives

-   **Interactive maps**: An alternative list view is available to access events
-   **User content**: We encourage users to add alternative descriptions
-   **PDF documents**: We are working on improving export accessibility

## Accessibility Features Implemented

-   **Keyboard navigation**: All features are keyboard accessible
-   **Color contrast**: Minimum contrast ratios respected
-   **Resizable text**: Up to 200% without loss of information
-   **Text alternatives**: Decorative and informative images identified
-   **Semantic structure**: Correct use of HTML5 tags
-   **Descriptive page titles**: Each page has a unique and relevant title
-   **Dark mode**: Option to reduce eye strain
-   **Declared language**: Lang attribute on pages

## Improvements in Progress

We are working on the following improvements:

-   Improving screen reader navigation in interactive maps
-   Adding subtitles for future video content
-   Improving error messages and form validation
-   Full WCAG 2.1 audit
-   User testing with people with disabilities
